About Daniel
Hello and welcome!
I am a Registered Clinical Counselor (RCC # 21526), school counselor, and Physical and Health Education/Outdoor Education teacher based in Vancouver and Sechelt (Sunshine Coast), British Columbia.
A graduate from the University of British Columbia in the Counselling Psychology program, my experiences have ranged from working in school settings, to supporting clients with eating disorders. I believe in creating a safe space to process one’s challenges, with the therapeutic relationship being central to this.
My approach is client-centred and collaborative — I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to help you navigate challenges, heal from past hurts, and build the resilience to face whatever comes next.
Outside of counselling, I’m an outdoor enthusiast, often hiking, biking, or exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest with my family.

My Approach
I work from a client-centred perspective, tailoring our sessions to your goals, preferences, and pace. Together, we’ll explore practical strategies to help you manage difficult emotions, improve your relationships, and build resilience.

Do I offer online sessions?
Yes, I provide secure video counselling for clients across British Columbia and Canada. Online sessions are convenient, confidential, and effective for most types of therapy.

The First Session
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We’ll explore your reasons for seeking counselling, discuss your goals, and create a plan tailored to your needs. I’ll answer any questions you have about the therapy process.

How do I know if counselling is right for me?
If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to navigate a personal challenge, counselling can offer support and clarity. A free 15-minute consultation is a great way to see if we’re a good fit.

Session Length
Most individual sessions are 50 minutes. Intake sessions are 75 minutes to allow extra time for a thorough assessment, while extended deep-dive sessions are 80 minutes.

What if I need to cancel?
I ask for at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations. Cancellations within 24 hours may be charged the full fee, except for emergencies.
